Seasons 4 and 5 were so bad!
MY THOUGHTS ON PRISON BREAK:

My thoughts on this might raise a few eyebrows. I didn't hate the show nor did I dislike it... I was just extremely disappointed in it. The first season was phenomenal and I absolutely loved every second of it. The cast was amazing (besides 1 character but i'll get into that after.) The plot was brilliant and the pacing was perfect. My downfall was the second season.
Season One set the standard for the entire show extremely high. It was that good you expect the rest of the show to be amazing too, which in my eyes is a fair expectation... Unfortunately that doesn't happen. You're left with a mediocre second season which is miserable from the get go. Season 1 had it all, action, suspense, thrills, literally everything you could want from a show like this whereas season 2 felt flat, it didn't provide me with what season 1 did.
Where my main issues came in season 2 was the pacing, it felt all over the place. One second it was fast and the next it was too slow, I didn't enjoy the plot itself either and I felt they could do significantly better. Unfortunately that didn't happen. After I got roughly half way through season 2 I decided it would be best to just give up on the show and find something else to watch seeing as I wasn't enjoying the show as much as I thought I would be.
Another big problem with the show that I had is Sarah Wayne Callies. I can not stand her as an actress, literally everything she has been in has been ruined for me simply because of her, She consistently winds me up and I'm always wanting to end the show or movie because of her. She is 100% my least favourite actress and because of that a lot of season one and two I found annoying because she has a big part to play.
Unfortunately I don't ever see myself rewatching this show, It's a shame because I heard many, many positives about it and it really seems like I'm the odd man out not liking this but hey, you can't like them all.

First two seasons are elite but then …
One of the worst series I have ever seen.
Why ? Why ? Why ? Why do these series need to be edgy and kill the main character ?
Damn you everybody involved with it and your stupid happy ending.
Judging only by the season one (for now) this series is addictive as hell. The plot can sometimes be so poor and stupid but it still manages to be interesting and engaging. Personally my heart was beating fast like i was there in the moment of the escape
The original concept of the show was excellent with a clear beginning and (possibly) end. It was filled with a strong cast and even better supporting cast with fast paced action and a big willingness to writes off characters even if they were enormously popular. Sadly, some terrible plot turns ruined the show and there was an entire brain tumor subplot that was a stupid element in the fourth and final season. They also lost a lot of fans by killing off a fan favorite only for the producers to write her back into the story later on. Conspiracy subplot went too far too. Series ending is a spit in the face until a revival series corrects it.
Season 1 tops every other season. I did keep watching though because it was immersive and I wanted to know what would happen next.
I have yet to finish season 5, but I think the show should and could have ended with season 4.
First two seasons are a masterpiece.Others are pretty good though.

People say that only the first season is good but that's only because the first season is so f****** amazing that it raises the standards too high! There are two regrets everyone in the world had. 1. Not watching Prison Break. 2. Watching Prison Break. After I finished the series their was literally a hole in my heart, do yourself a favour and watch the show
The first two seasons are excellent and then it just gets progressively worse. Season 5 is dreadful and it's no wonder the actors left in droves. The fault is with the script, not the acting.
I can't wait for season 5! Michael Scofield is back at it again! I had a feeling there would be a new season after seeing Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell team up in The Flash as Captain Cold and Heatwave.
they failed on the season 5,they didnt show us how scofield survived the electricity blast.

This show is probably my favorite show of all time, even watching it twice made me want more of this show. I highly recommend anyone to watch this show.
Prison Break starts off as an incredibly intense, clever, and addictive thriller with a brilliant premise and great characters. The first season, in particular, is masterful, full of suspense and smart twists. However, as the series goes on, it stretches believability with increasingly over-the-top plots. While it never quite recaptures the magic of its early days, it remains an entertaining, fast-paced ride with plenty of memorable moments.
The first seasons are good but then season after season you see how they force the series to continue in the last episodes which makes it decline with each new season
When you think about the bizarre and arbitrary twists and endlessly contrived meandering of the last 3 seasons of this show, remember that The Sopranos premiered in 1999.
No seriously... how many times can you break out of a prison? (Ps. The movie ending was terrible too)

Rewatched this show last year, still absolutely loved it, obviously it gets a bit played out from season 3 and really repetitive and honestly just a little weird/confusing but idk if the acting from Michael is actually good :sob: I still love him so much and the tv show

The level of IQ Scofield had made me feel dumb.
season one starts off strong. season 2 drops a bit but the FBI agent Mahone holds it up. by season 3, i was just watching since i had reached this far. season 4 is a totally different show. it went from guys breaking out of prison to a full on government conspiracy show. and honestly what was the point of season 5? i wonder if the actors didn't leave, would the show just go on forever with them breaking out of random prisons in different countries?
for a guy with a genius brother like Michael Scofield, Lincoln Burrows sure is dumb. Most of the bad things that happen to him are initiated by his stupid decisions and actions.

The first season of Prison Break is one of the best tv-seasons I watched with all the tension. Then in season 2 it was still fun to watch until the end became kinda weird. Season 3 and 4 were just very weird. Never came back to the last season.

I played this on netflix without having any real expectations about it, but ended up being one of my favourite tv shows. Mostly because of Wentworth's acting, but still. You might, at some point, get a bit tired of its thrill as I did, but you most certainly will like it.
3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Prison Break’:
Writing this after finally finishing the rebooted fifth season. Great to see these actors working together again. And to see a happier ending.
It’s often a fairly fun show to watch, but - after so many years of being off the air, it’s proven not to be very memorable. I couldn’t tell you all that went down after the first season.
While it’s difficult to recall most of the series, I’ll never forget how the first season’s finale was one of the most thrilling episodes of television I’ve ever seen.
There’s two types of people, those who love Prison Break and those who don’t.

I loved this Show, but part of me feels like they could’ve done the entire show as 3 seasons of 10 eps. each.

I've watched this show twice now and I know it won't be the last time. It's one of my favorite shows and I don't agree that it's just the first season. I love all seasons equally (not including the addition of season 5, which did feel a bit out of tune with the rest even though I still enjoyed it for sentimental reasons). Michael Scofield is a great character but to be honest all of the main characters bring something. Even the ones you think you hate. I wish I could keep watching this show as if it were the first time.
Prison Break has a great story and great cast. I really liked the characters and suffered a lot from some deaths. For me a great work.

So, having watched the show since the start there was certainly a downward trend in the Quality. Fortunately the 'new' series was an improvement. Yes the plot is far fetched and highly unlikely but it is at least enjoyable.
Always making you look the other way and rarely predictable, at least from Michaels point of view. He is a fascinating character and although many of the others this series were mere cameos it was enjoyable and shows that the show was right to do another series. Not sure if there is enough plot left for another one but was nice to return to an old favourite.
I don't understand why people hate the rest of the seasons so much because I found seasons 1 and 4 extraordinary. The only one that I didn't really enjoy was season 3, as season 2 wasn't so bad or so good but in between. Season 1 though, is so profoundly good that it raises your standards.
This show leaves you breathless until you watch next episode and the next and the next etc...
You cannot let it go. It's amazing how they keep the thrill going.

A great show that by the creators admission was intended as a 2 series arc. I suggest watching 1 & 2 and then the final special. For me it is not that series 3 & 4 are terrible but rather they tell a story that wasn't needed and would have been better as a sequel. 3 & 4 are still fun to watch but are tangential.
The show is coming back for another season, with the original cast and writers.

Season 1 and 2 are great, but season 3 and 4 are bad.
Definitely the best show I've ever watched, and I have seen a LOT - trust me. It is exciting and entertaining from the first episode and you just can't stop watching. I can't really chose any favorite seasons, because I love them all. Every single episode is so brilliant and unpredictable. After every episode I got mind blown, you could never imagine what to happen next. In addition, the characters is so amazing and well done, and especially the ones who is changing through the seasons. There are some characters I hated in the first seasons, but in the last seasons they became some of my favorites. However, Michael Scofield is definitely my favorite. I got finished with the show just in a few weeks, and I was totally devastated. So glad they are making season 5, because the ending of season 4 was so not fair... I literally cried for several hours, and I am still a little devastated. Nothing beats this show, not even Breaking Bad (which I though was the best show until I watched this).

I marathoned all seasons after they aired and enjoyed this show, but it kinda got worse with each following season, nevertheless still recommending this series, especially the first season! after that it gets a mess slowly but still a very good watch
I watched the entire show these past weeks and I am amazed by it. I've been wanting to watch it for a while, it's one of those shows that is recommended by many people... so, I had some time and gave it a shot. I have enjoyed every season (most of all the first one, a masterpiece). There are awesome characters and you find yourself caring about every single one, even the villains (T-Bag!!!).
This is a show you MUST see.

People be exaggerating. It was great? Really? lol. This show was great the first two seasons and totally lost it after. It was horribly stupid to watch but yet still entertaining even though you know it's pointless and surreal. :)
